Please note that, unless stated otherwise, the holiday information and conditions of booking detailed here apply to any bookings with South Cliff Holiday Park, Pioneer Road, Wilsthorpe, Bridlington YO15 3QN. Please call if you are unsure of anything within these Terms and Conditions. All bookings are subject to acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and to availability.
Booking
How to secure your bookings / making changes:
To confirm a booking, simply make a non-refundable deposit of £50 for Holiday Home, Lodge, Shepherd Hut and Camping Pod accommodation and £10 non-refundable deposit for Touring/Camping Pitches with the remaining balance payable 28 days before the holiday commencement date. For bookings with an arrival date falling between 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025 the final balance will be due 56 days before the holiday commencement date. Please note that payments not received by the due date will result in cancellation.
The total charge for the goods and services comprising your holiday will be clearly shown in your booking confirmation invoice. Please check that your holiday booking details in this
confirmation invoice are correct and as advised at the time of booking.
Only the lead member named on the booking may make any alterations/amendments to the booking.
Changes within 48 hours of receiving confirmation invoice can be made without incurring any amendment fee charges from us. A charge of £10 per alteration to the holiday will be payable after this period has elapsed.
Please note that if you have booked a promotional holiday no changes can be made to your date and no refunds are given.
Special requirements:
If you have any special requirements regarding your holiday accommodation or pitch, please advise us when making your booking. We will endeavour to meet your requests; however this cannot be guaranteed and is not a condition of booking.
Cancellation of your holiday:
We regret that we cannot give refunds for accident / breakdown on your journey to commence your holiday or for holidays cut short after arrival through accident / illness or any other reason. It is strongly recommended you obtain cancellation insurance to protect your deposit and the balance of payment in the event of cancellation or these eventualities.
If you have to cancel for reasons of death, illness, redundancy or injury to you or any member of your party, of death, illness or serious injury of a close relative after you have booked and before the start of your holiday, we will refund / credit your money paid as follows:
a) Provided we receive written notice of a cancellation before your expected arrival date, we will refund all monies paid less deposit (£10 Touring / Camping Pitches / Camping Cabins, £50 Holiday Home Hire / Lodges / Shepherd Huts).
In all cases cancellation must be accompanied by doctor’s note or other evidence as detailed below:
Sickness – Doctors Sick Note, Redundancy - Employer’s notification, Hospitalisation - Doctor’s certificate showing hospital admission dates, Jury Service - Court notification, Bereavement - Death Certificate.
Cancellation policy excludes all promotional bookings where no refund will be given.
Management’s decision is final.
If we make any alterations to your booking:
We try very hard to provide all facilities as advertised in our brochure and on our website. It may however be necessary to make some alterations in advance of your holiday. If such a change is necessary, we will endeavour to advise you as soon as possible, and give you the options in the section entitled ‘If we cancel your booking’.
If we cancel your booking:
We always endeavour not to change the date or cancel your booking, but in exceptional circumstances this may be necessary. We will inform you of the change of date or cancellation as soon as possible and give you the following options.
a) accept the alternative arrangements as notified to you
b) choose another available break from us at the advertised price
c) cancel your holiday with a full refund of any money you have paid
We do not pay compensation in circumstances where we have to cancel your booking including those arising from *force majeure. *Force majeure means circumstances beyond our control including (but not limited to) industrial disputes, natural disasters, fire, technical problems, bad weather and acts of government.
Arrival and departure times:
Holiday home and lodge accommodation:
Your accommodation is available on your holiday start date from 2pm for Premier and Lodge accommodation and 3pm for Standard and Deluxe. You are welcome to use the park facilities until your accommodation is ready. You will need to vacate your accommodation by 9.30am on the day of your departure.
Touring and camping pitches:
Pitches are available from 12pm onwards on the day of your arrival. We expect your pitch to be cleared by 11am on the day of your departure. We are also happy to welcome you at the park before check in and you can make full use of the facilities. It may be possible to extend your stay up until 5pm on your day of departure depending on availability. Please check with reception on your departure day before 11am if you wish to stay longer. Extended stays are subject to a small charge payable at the time of request.
Camping and shepherd huts:
Camping Cabins and Shepherd Huts will be available from 12pm onwards on the day of your arrival. Departure will be at 9.30am on the day of your departure.
Late arrivals:
If you expect to arrive after 5pm on the arrival day, please let the Reception Team know, this will allow us to make arrangements for your arrival up to 10pm. Unless notified in advance you must claim your self-catering accommodation / pitch by 10am on the day after commencement of your holiday, or we will treat your booking as cancelled.
Vehicles and parking:
Holidaymakers are not permitted to bring working vehicles onto the Park. This includes pick-up trucks, vans and open back trucks and all sign written / commercial vehicles. Only one car per pitch is permitted through the barriers. All other vehicles must remain in one of the site car parks.
Dogs:
A maximum of 2 dogs per pitch. Owners are responsible for the behaviour of their dogs. We do not permit any dog listed on the Dangerous dogs Act 1991 onto the site. All dogs must be kept on a short lead whilst on park. Dogs should be exercised off the park or designated dog walking areas. Owners must ensure that their dogs do not foul the site and are responsible for cleaning up after them. If it is deemed that the dog is causing a nuisance or disturbance to others, their owner will be asked to remove the dog from the site. With the exception of assistance dogs, dogs are not permitted in the toilet blocks, holiday homes, lodges, shepherd huts or camping cabins. Dogs are not to be left unattended at any time. Dogs on ground stake tethers must not be left unattended at any time
Use of your holiday home, touring and camping pitches, camping cabins and shepherd huts:
Only those people listed on the booking can occupy your accommodation and use the facilities of the park. If this legal requirement is not met, your booking will be terminated and you will be asked to leave, with no refund made. If you have any friends who wish to visit you while you are staying with us, please see the Reception Team. It is illegal to smoke inside enclosed public buildings in England, Scotland and Wales. Outside smoking areas will be provided. We ask holidaymakers to refrain from smoking in the accommodation. We cannot guarantee smoke free accommodation or any holiday home to be free from allergens. Please note, assistance dogs may have been in hire caravans.
Unreasonable behaviour:
For the convenience of our guests, we reserve the right to terminate the party’s holiday without compensation or refund, where the unreasonable behaviour of the persons in the holiday party might impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of other guests, our team members or staff. This may include but is not limited to verbal or physical abuse, and will be up to the management’s discretion.
