INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR SELF-CATERING HOLIDAY:
Please note that, unless stated otherwise, the holiday information and conditions of booking detailed here apply to any bookings with South Cliff Caravan Park, Wilsthorpe, Bridlington YO15 3QN. Please call if you are unsure of anything within these Terms and Conditions. All bookings are subject to acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and to availability.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES:
Hire Fleet Caravan Accommodation:
Your accommodation is available on your holiday start date from 3pm. You are welcome to use the park facilities until your accommodation is ready. You will need to vacate your accommodation by 9.30am on the day of your departure.
Touring and Camping Pitches:
Pitches are available from 12pm onwards on the day of your arrival. We expect your pitch to be cleared by 11am on the day of your departure. We are also happy to welcome you at the park before check in and you can make full use of the facilities. It may be possible to extend your stay up until 5pm on your day of departure depending on availability. Please check with reception on your departure day before 11am if you wish to stay longer. Extended stays are subject to a small charge payable at the time of request.
Cabins will be available from 12pm onwards on the day of your arrival. Departure will be at 9.30am on the day of your departure. Late arrivals: If you expect to arrive after 7pm on the first day of your stay, please let the park know so that we can make arrangements for you to collect your welcome information. Unless the park is previously notified, you must claim your accommodation/pitch by 10am on the day after your holiday was due to start, otherwise we will treat your booking as cancelled.
VEHICLES AND PARKING:
Holidaymakers are not permitted to bring working vehicles onto the Park. This includes pick-up trucks, vans and open back trucks and all sign written / commercial vehicles. Only one car per pitch is permitted through the barriers. All other vehicles must remain in one of the car parks by the office.
If you have any special requests regarding your holiday accommodation or touring pitch, please advise us when making your booking. We will endeavour to meet your requests, however this can not be guaranteed and is not a condition of booking.
For the comfort of all our guests, no pets except assistance dogs, are permitted onto the tenting or touring areas nor in the hire fleet caravans or camping cabins.
USE OF YOUR HOLIDAY HOME, TENTING AND TOURING PITCHES AND CAMPING CABINS:
Only those people listed on the booking can occupy your accommodation and use the facilities of the park. If this legal requirement is not met, your booking will be terminated and you will be asked to leave, with no refund made. If you have any friends who wish to visit you while you are staying with us, please see the Reception Team who will arrange this for them. It is illegal to smoke inside enclosed public buildings in England, Scotland and Wales. Outside smoking areas will be provided. We ask holidaymakers to refrain from smoking in the accommodation. We cannot guarantee smoke free accommodation or any holiday home to be free from allergens. Please note, assistance dogs may have been in hire caravans.
For the convenience of our guests, we reserve the right to terminate the party’s holiday without compensation or refund, where the unreasonable behaviour of the persons in the holiday party might impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of other guests, our team members or staff. This may include but is not limited to verbal or physical abuse, and will be up to the management’s discretion.
HOW TO SECURE YOUR BOOKING:
Secure your booking with a non refundable deposit of only £50 for hire fleet caravans and £10 non refundable deposit for tenting/ touring pitches and camping cabins. Your deposit per holiday home, tenting or touring pitch is all that we require to secure your booking, with the balance payable 28 days before the holiday start date. Please note that payments not received by the due date will result in a cancellation.
CHANGES TO YOUR HOLIDAY BY YOU:
After you have paid your deposit you may wish to change some elements of the holiday, e.g. date or lead name. We will try to meet your request, however, a charge of £10 per alteration to the holiday will be payable. Please note that if you have booked a promotional holiday no changes can be made to your date and no refunds are given.
CANCELLATION OF YOUR HOLIDAY:
Proof will be required in writing, by recorded delivery prior to the confirmed start date of your holiday to obtain a refund, less the initial deposit paid. No refund will be made if the park is not informed of cancellation with 28 days or less prior to arrival. This will need to be as follows: Redundancy - Employer’s notification, Hospitalisation - Doctor’s certificate showing hospital admission dates, Jury Service - Court notification, Bereavement - Death Certificate. In such cases alterations can be made to the bookings such as change of date, without incurring the administration charge of £10 per change. Cancellation policy excludes all promotional bookings where no refund will be given. It is strongly recommended you obtain cancellation insurance to protect your deposit and the balance of payment in the event of cancellation.
IF WE MAKE ANY MAJOR ALTERATIONS TO YOUR BOOKING:
We try very hard to provide all facilities as advertised in our brochure and website. It may however be necessary to make some alterations in advance of your holiday. If such a change is necessary, we will endeavour to advise you as soon as possible, and give you the options in the section entitled ‘If we cancel your booking’.
IF WE CANCEL YOUR BOOKING:
We always endeavour not to change the date or cancel your booking, but in exceptional circumstances this may be necessary. We will inform you of the change of date or cancellation as soon as possible and give you the following options. a. accept the alternative arrangements as notified to you b. choose another available break from us at the advertised price c. cancel your holiday with a full refund of any money you have paid We do not pay compensation in circumstances where we have to cancel your booking including those arising from *force majeure. *Force majeure means circumstances beyond our control including (but not limited to) industrial disputes, natural disasters, fire, technical problems, bad weather and acts of government.
