The contractor is now on site at South Cliff Holiday Park, undertaking the extension and partial refurbishment of the park. The redevelopment scheme includes the provision of a new reception building, toilet blocks and office accommodation as well as creating new pitches for tenting touring, glamping, static caravans and lodges. Upgrades and refurbishments are also being carried out to the existing site. The works will be completed in time for Spring 2019.
What’s happening on site?
Ground stabilisation works are now complete with tarmac up to the base course 50% complete.
We are currently installing new drainage for the site and have dug the new attenuation pond. The attenuation pond is a usually dry area that provides protection against flooding by storing the floodwater and releasing it once the risk of flooding has passed.
The foundations for the new amenity buildings are now in place and the masonry for the substructure is ongoing.
Work on the permanent perimeter fence has now started. We are just about the start Phase 2, which is the area in amongst the existing site, where we will be demolishing some of the existing buildings and creating and rationalising the existing pitches.
The ground floor slab for the first amenity building has been poured this week and the second will follow in the next week.
