Conditions & Regulations
Your right to place your caravan on the site is subject to the following conditions:
- All late arrivals must report to the security office when the site office is not open. A £20.00 deposit will be paid on arrival and all outstanding balance settled before 10.30am the following morning.
- Once a pitch has been allocated you must remain at that pitch unless agreed with site personnel.
- All pitches are available from 12.00 noon on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11.00am on the date of departure.
- Single sex groups will only be permitted onto the site at the sole discretion of the Site Management. No persons are permitted to stay on the site under the age of 18 years without adult supervision.
- All persons entering the Park have an obligation to themselves and other occupiers to behave in a responsible manner and to ensure their own safety. Except for death or personal injury caused by the Council's negligent acts or omissions the Council shall only be liable for any loss or damage which is a reasonably foreseeable consequence of a breach of this Agreement or the Council's operation of the site.
- The maximum speed at which any vehicle on the site is permitted to travel is 10 miles per hour only.
- No pets except for guide dogs are permitted on the touring section.
- Vehicles from the touring section will not under any circumstances be parked in the area for seasonal caravans/holiday homes or adjacent to ablution blocks.
- Access to the Caravan Park for caravans and vehicles is via the by-road from Kingsgate on the main Bridlington to Hull and Hornsea Road (A165). Vehicles and caravans cannot be brought on to the Caravan Park using the cliff road.
- All caravans and trailers must be specifically designed for towing by motor car and must be capable of being towed without contravening rules and regulations or statutory provisions relating to the use of vehicles on public highways. All caravans must be in good order and condition.
- The maximum size of any caravan that will be permitted on the touring section is 26ft in certain areas only. Please refer to park map on this web site.
- For safety reasons all caravans must face away from each other, no caravan must face door to door or awning to awning.
- The maximum size of any tent that will be permitted on one pitch is 12’ x 12’ and tents of a larger size will only be accommodated by special arrangement and a small charge.
- Other than awnings, no external chemical toilets, units or structures of any kind are permitted.
- Gazebo type structures and windbreaks may be permitted at Management discretion, dependant on space between caravans and time of year.
- In order to preserve the ground conditions, all ground sheets placed in awnings etc. are to be removed when not in use.
- Luggage, boxes or other stores or materials must not be deposited or stored outside or under the caravan. Litter and refuse must be deposited in the bins provided by the Council and all waste water shall be disposed of in the drains provided for that purpose.
- The customer must ensure that the open space surrounding his caravan or tent is kept clean and tidy after use.
- In the interest of safety, fires must not be lit on the Caravan Park under any circumstances whatsoever. Gas BBQ’s are permitted, small charcoal BBQ’s will be permitted at the Management’s discretion.
- Drinking water must be obtained from the standpipes provided for that purpose.
- In the interests of harmony on the site, noise levels should be kept to a minimum especially after 11.00pm, the management reserves the right to issue warnings for excessive noise and evict wrongdoers if necessary.
- No firearms, air guns, knives or other weapons of any description may be brought onto the park. Licensees are not permitted to discharge any firearm or air gun, or throw or discharge a stone or missile or throw or ignite fireworks.
- Except in the case of fire no unauthorised person shall use, tamper or interfere with the fire fighting equipment on the site.
- The site will be open from 1st March until 30th November of the same year.
- The Council intends to provide a family facility conducive to the enjoyment of holidays in a pleasant safe environment. Any person whose occupation at the site has caused difficulties with others (and which has not been improved upon within a reasonable period) or who has been excluded from any other site for reasons which, in the opinion of the Council, are not conducive to good relations with other users of such a site, or who may have been found guilty of any criminal offence may be refused entry. A written explanation will be provided upon request.
- Any persons who are evicted from the private on site facilities, Makis, the Supermarket, Caravan Sales and the Fast Food Takeaway, for any reason will also risk eviction from the site, and future access to the site may be restricted. Any parties issued with a warning from on site security personnel or site Management will be asked to vacate the site if further nuisance occurs.
- No business, profession or trade of any description shall be carried out or conducted on the sites without permission of the Director of Operational Services Department.
- No trucks, lorries, transit vans or works vehicles are permitted on the touring section.
- Payment of site fees legally binds the customer to the conditions and regulations of the Touring Site.
- Site fees must be paid in full prior to arrival. In the event of a cancellation no refund will be given.
The following rules relate to seasonal tourers located on the site. These rules are in addition to the general rules and regulations of the touring site:
- A 1 metre vicinity around the caravan and awning must be maintained and free of debris. It is the customers responsibility to strim the grass around the caravan regularly. If the park has to carry out this work a charge will be made to the customer.
- Ground sheets must be made of a breathable material, plastic ground sheets are not permitted.
- There is to be no subletting of seasonal pitches.
- The Council may terminate the Site Licence forthwith if the Licensee or any member of the Licensee’s party behaves in such a manner which, in the opinion of the Senior Facility Manager, causes or is likely to cause offence, annoyance or injury to any persons on the park, or if numerous complaints are received by the Senior Facility Manager regarding the Licensee and she/he takes no action to remedy the difficulty.
- The Site Licence may be terminated by a 28 day (or at the end of the period of hire whichever is the shorter) written notice to that effect for any breach of the conditions contained herein if the Licensee has failed to comply with that condition after being given a reasonable period of time to so comply.
- The Site Licence may be terminated by written notice if the appropriate rental or any other payments that are due to the Council are not paid by the specified date, and
- The Licensee may terminate this licence upon the giving of at least 28 days notice to terminate at any time but the licence fee paid shall not be reimbursed unless the Council or the outgoing Licensee has been able to secure another occupier for the site occupied by the Licensee and thereupon a proportionate part of the seasons licence fee shall be refundable for breach of any condition contained herein.
- If the Licensee is unable to occupy a site for which payments has been made, the Council shall be under no obligation to refund any part of the payment made in respect of the site licence. If notice is given by the Licensee in writing to the Manager that the Licensee will be unable to occupy the site, the Council shall refund to the Licensee a proportionate part of the payment made for the site licence less deduction of 10 percent for administrative charges if alternative arrangement for the use of the site can be made by the Council.
- Where a Licence has been terminated the Licensee shall upon termination of the notice remove his/her caravan from the Park.
- Any caravan not claimed within 28 days of its removal and storage and in respect of which the cost of such removal and storage has not been paid, may be sold and the cost of sale, removal and storage deducted from the proceeds
- The Council will not be liable for any injury, damage or loss caused to any caravan or its contents as a result of its removal, storage or sale under this Licence unless caused by the Council’s negligent act or omission.
- Seasonal caravans must vacate by 12 noon on the day of departure.
